Department of General Medicine manages all aspects of a patient's general health care.
General medicine involves the diagnosis and treatment of adult diseases. The general medical team may work with several of the patients organs’ at the same time and treat or diagnose a number of conditions.
The Trust offers a wide range of specialist services to the people of East Lancashire for both elective (planned) and emergency care. Each of the specialties provides expertise across a broad range of specialities. General Medicine encompasses medical, elderly and palliative (symptom relief) medicine, providing in-patient and out-patient services to adults over the age of 16.
